Coaching Days and SWWU Records

We are delighted to announce that SWWU will be hosting a number of region-wide coaching days throughout the upcoming academic year! We would like to thank Swansea University for offering to host the first of these, on Saturday November 9th, 2-5pm. The idea behind these coaching days is simple - Clubs bring along any coaches that they have contact with, along with any archers that would like coaching. Archers are able to shoot for the entire session, under the watchful eye of the coaches, who will be on hand to give tips that archers can work on during the session and take away to practice in their own time. There will be a small fee for archers, to cover the cost of hall hire, but we hope to keep this to a few pounds.

With the new academic year fast approaching, we are now inviting archers to submit scores for the new SWWU record tables. These tables aim to document the highest scores shot by SWWU archers. The records are not being backdated, so only scores shot on or after September 1st 2019 will be accepted. Submissions do not have to be shot in competition, but must be written on a score sheet and countersigned by another archer present. Records are only kept for rounds that are used for BUCS qualification or shot at BUCS or BUTC (see the Records pages for eligible rounds). To submit a record claim, please email a scan or photo of the complete countersigned score sheet to the SWWU co-ordinators at swwu.archery@gmail.com. All scoresheets must show your name, the round and score shot, the date you shot it and your club.

And finally, we have booked The Stable, Exeter, for our SWWU ball, following the SWWU Indoor Championships on Saturday 7th December. More info to follow...
