Updated: Feb 1, 2022

Starting off the new year with something a little bit different than the traditional regional legs, a Frostbite.

Cardiff, Swansea, Bath, Bristol and Plymouth travelled to Exeter to get a taste of the cold weather and to claim back their lost mascots, as well as being presented with their very own brand new SWWU flags.

Before even shooting started, one archer from Plymouth experienced a car breakdown, and then once they are all set up, shooting was under way. Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol and a couple from Swansea took up session 1, and session 2 consisted of Bath, Cardiff, the rest of Swansea and the rest of Exeter. Beginners having their first taste of 30m and experienced archers finding their sightmarks again, and trying to figure out Exeters scoresheet.

Swansea(910) took the highest podium blace in novice teams, with Plymouth(710) taking second place and Exeter(366) taking third. In compound team, Exeter(511) stole Swanseas winning streak by placing first, followed by Plymouth(332) and then Swansea(177).

In the experienced recurves, Alex Rowe(329) from Plymouth and Johanna Meyer(282) from Bath won gold.
