Last of the SWWUmmer sun

With our archers soon heading back to university, many chose to squeeze in one final outdoor competition before starting to focus on the indoor season!

Aubrey Whitish (Swansea), William Murphy (Swansea) and Becca Eckles (Cardiff) shot at Llandaff City Bowmen, with Aubrey coming away with female barebow gold and Becca walking away with female compound bronze!

Chris Crawford (Exeter), Matt Butler (Swansea) and Matt Walker (Swansea) competed at Shotton archery club, shooting a double 1440, with both Matts setting new SWWU records!

Tom Ledgerwood (Exeter) shot in the final stage of Archery GB's National Tour in Basingstoke. Tom seeded 31st and went on to knock out 34th seed in a shoot off in the first round of head-to-heads, before being knocked out by 2nd seed 6-4 in a close second round match!

Plymouth also sent a team to compete in the DCAS Autumn Gold event, hosted by Bowmen of the Tors. Joe Tripp finished 1st in gents' recurve, Charlie Semmens taking 1st in ladies' longbow, Emma King taking 3rd in ladies' longbow and Kerry Marks taking 4th in ladies' recurve.

A huge well done to everyone that competed this weekend and throughout a highly successful SWWUmmer!

Best of luck to all in the indoor season!
