Each year, SWWU clubs compete to become "The Best of the Worst", a saying which is even engraved on our league trophies. Throughout the year, clubs take it in turns to host legs, either indoors or outdoors and compete in the 3 SWWU Leagues:

Novice trophy - Combined score of four novice non-compound archers, irrespective of gender

Experienced trophy - Combined score of four experienced or novice non-compound archers, irrespective of gender

Compound - Combined score of two experienced or novice compound archers, irrespective of gender

Points are awarded at each leg, with the highest ranked team receiving 10 points, the team in second receiving 9 points, the team in third receiving 8 points and so on.

Points are also awarded based on scores from each leg and the regional qualifiers of the BUCS Indoor Championships.

If a university is unable to bring enough archers to make up a full team, points will be awarded based on the combined score of any eligible archers that competed. If a university does not bring any eligible archers for a team score, they will be awarded 0 points for that leg. If two or more universities are tied by league points the aggregate total of points scored in all legs will be used to decide rankings.

Tradition states that the winning club captain for each category has to drink from the trophy at the BUCS outdoor championships. #OnlyIfYouWantTo
